Islamabad Chamber appreciates OIC & MECCAward role in promoting trade

ISLAMABAD, Apr 6 (APP): President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi has appreciated the role of Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and MECCAward for promotion of trade and economic ties among member states.
He said this during a meeting with Commissioner Muslim Excellence & Competitiveness Corporations’ Award (MECCAward) Muhammad Reza Mirza.
President Islamabad Chamber  said that  announcement of MECCAward is a good initiative by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), which will provide a good opportunity to various organizations to get recognition at  international level.   
He said that members’ organizations shall be informed about the importance of this award, so that they could get benefit from it and make space in the international market.
President said that those countries which are bringing changes in their business setup as per international requirements are fetching more business.
He emphasized that technology up-gradation is every much required to produce high standard and quality products for exports.
Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi said that OIC and ICCI are playing important role for the progress and prosperity of the Ummah, but stressed more combined efforts for the economic progress of Islamic countries.
He said that Islamic countries are rich in natural resources but their total share of exports in the overall world trade is negligible because of technological backwardness.
Muhammad Reza Mirza, Commissioner Muslim Excellence & Competitiveness Corporations Award (MECCAward) said that MECCAward has international recognition and significance, which helps organizations to make progress and recognition at international standard.
